Currently, the scope of Department’s research is pharmacokinetics, as well as its clinical application. We have successfully developed numerous methods enabling determination of xenobiotics such as non-steroid anti-inflammatory drugs, cytostatic drugs, macrolide antibiotics, antithrombotic drugs and endogenous compounds (glucocorticoids, vitamins). Due to an urgent need for personalized therapy, we are also investigating genetic polymorphisms that might influence drug’s pharmacokinetics.
